Joshua's First Ride
Joshua started riding today. He loved it. He did very well, very calm and relaxed. He listened carefully to Ellen and held the reins just so the whole time. I think they both had a lot of fun. Joshua now wants to ride every day, and I had a tussle with him about whether or not he could wear his riding pants to bed. He asked everyone he met if they could guess why he was wearing riding clothes, they said no, and he would yell, I went riding today! He also picked the horse's hooves, curried her coat, and got the dustpan for cleaning up the mess on the floor. He was great!

Did Josh go riding again this week, and if so, did he have fun? P.
He had a blast. Ellen said he was Batman, Madam Allbright was Bat Horse, and she was the evil villain they had to catch. So all of a sudden Josh was able to move Bat Horse around in circles and stop and go. He was so motivated! And he was doing that wonderful giggle of his that starts in his toes and ends up in his shoulders shaking. He also did one of her hooves by himself. Madam is so good, she just turns her hoof over to be cleaned. Josh can't lift it, but she kept it turned over while he cleaned it. She really is a good horse. Ellen jumped her after one of Sam's classes, and she can really go too, very graceful over the foot high jump.
