Episode 5, in which Samantha demonstrates that she can take care of herself
Samantha has been taking an "extreme dodgeball" class on Monday nights at the local Y, where they teach the kids a bunch of variations on dodgeball and everyone generally has a good time. She's been complaining about one of the boys in the class who always hits her in the head with the (soft foam) balls during the games. I think he had a bit of a crush on her, and she agreed, and so did his mother.
I'm not sure what happened at class tonight, but something happened because he punched Samantha in the nose. Hard.
And what did our little princess do when so affronted? She turned around and punched him right back. In the face. She got the better of the exchange. Sam's nose is swollen, but the other kid had a black eye and a cut on his cheek. He looked like he'd lost a boxing match. Who knew Sam had such a mean right cross?
I disapprove of fghting in general, but if someone punches you in the face I think it's fair to defend yourself. The staff at the Y seemed to agree. So did the boy's mother.

Like mother, like daughter. Seems something like that happened to you, too, Amy. \(*_*)/
