joy

We took Samantha to the ultrasound at 18 weeks where we found out the sex of our baby. When the technician said, “It’s a boy!” her whole face lit up and she got a big grin on her face. She was thrilled. She told the waitress at lunch she was having a baby brother, and she told my friend that we saw that afternoon that she was having a baby brother. She says it with such pride and joy, it makes it that much more fun being pregnant.

She was amazing during the ultrasound. She held my hand the entire time and did nothing but whisper for more than twenty minutes. I had some blood tests done today, and she held my hand for those too, and then kissed the needle site later today. She is a sweetheart.
