My little bunny is not so little anymore. I worked out this morning and she played in the children’s room just fine the whole time I was there. When I came back in, Sam was trying to make a little boy feel better by giving him her car that she was playing with. She grabbed me and gave me a big smooch when she saw me. We got outside, and Sam announced “pee in the trees, in private” I got her inside the gym with a little persuasion, and she used the big potty. She has had on a perfectly dry diaper since 7 this morning. Wow! I don’t expect this to last, but still, wow!
We went to the playground and she climbed up on to the bouncing horses all by herself and got it bouncing pretty hard. She never got it to bounce before. Then she climbs up the chain ladder all on her own and slides down and lands all by herself. I got a little teary eyed at that. She is such a strong, capable little girl.
I registered her for swim classes in March. Mostly just a chance to get her in the pool. It is for one half hour once a week, but she will love it, I am sure. Cole’s class is at a different time. I tried to register for the same class, but they were full.
Sam basically repeats everything we say now, no matter how complicated. “Put it in the microwave” “stinky dog.” Anything I say. Or makes up things on her own. While rummaging through her changing table drawer, which she is now tall enough to see into; she says “This is not a diaper. Dolly needs a clean diaper.”
I got blowy kisses when I put her down for her nap. Every hour there is something new.
Oh, she is feeding dolly a lot of her own food and she makes sure Dolly is well wrapped in a blanket so she will be warm. Dolly likes to giggle and be held upside down. Her zoo animals occupy a lot of Sam’s time, making the fence into a triangle for one animal, or a square for all three. She talks to Joey, Camel and Zebra the whole time. Matt and I get to eat our whole dinners before Sam is ready to get down from the table.
