Short pants

Joshua wore short pants, ie, underwear, all day today. He had only one minor accident. He does seem gleeful about going in unorthodox places, but he isn't going in his clothes. I could only keep him from trying out the front door by telling him that John and Mark would be really upset about him peeing in front of them. He moved on. Thank you neighbors!

Sam has her dance recital this weekend. She is not going to soccer, but she is going to horse back riding. Rehearsal Saturday, riding Sunday morning, recital Sunday night. She will be tired Monday, I think. I will post pictures, I promise.

Royal Attraction

The horse of the day today is Royal Attraction, a pretty appaloosa, dark reddish brown. She was able to really teach Sam how to post. Yes! Sam is posting already. I am so proud of her, and only partly because I think she is learning quickly. She never shies away from trying whatever Ellen asks of her, and she listens and cares for her horse as well. Samantha really goes into everything with all of her, and she looks so happy and engaged in what she is doing. Ellen is a very nice person, and loves seeing her pupils learn how to really enjoy her horses. Most of the horses in the barn have been through some kind of injury or illness, and she nurses all the ones she can back to health.

Samantha has her first filling tomorrow at the dentist. matt is coming with us, which is a good thing. He is much better at soothing her than I am. I trust the pediatric dentist, but I still hope Samantha will be okay with it and that it doesn't hurt too much. She has four cavities, but they are only filling two tomorrow.
