Balloon
I bought a balloon for Sam yesterday. This morning the balloon had sagged a bit, but was still floating on its own. Sam looked at me and said it was looking for its mommy. She says “The balloon is missing it’s mommy. We need to let it go. I ask “Are you sure?” She was very sure. So we opened up the front door, she let the string go, and off it floated. We waved goodbye and told it to say hi to its mommy.
This started because she was so upset that she lost her balloon that I tried to reassure her that the balloon was going home to the moon. She would send more of her children down for us to play with, but she needed that balloon to go home for tea just now. That seemed to help.
