Sam loves our printer. I printed out some invitations yesterday from the dining room. Sam was upstairs near the printer playing with her father. Next thing I know, she comes dashing down the stairs yelling, “Wait, wait, I got it! I got it! And she hands the paper to me proud as can be. I was proud of her. She kept them in great shape on the way down too.
Sam had a difference of opinion with her friend yesterday, and we talked a bit about how to share toys. I told her that she needed to ask for a toy, not just walk up and grab it from another child. She looks at me as though I’m an idiot and informs me, “Mommy, they’ll just say no!” It makes a kind of sense, since most toddlers will say no. I had to laugh.
Sam still loves her trains and sleeps with Salty when she can. I got her some cards with holes in them and some laces. She loves threading the laces through the holes, for about 5 minutes. Keeps her busy at the table while I get food out for her.
We had her favorite dessert last night: Fresh raspberries and honey mousse. I picked some berries yesterday morning from a farm near home and she ate almost a cup of them. Raspberries are clearly a winner. I think all kids like the really fresh produce.
